We're proud to announce that we're standing as your Liberal Democrat candidates for Hammersmith Broadway in May's local council elections and we couldn't be more excited to make the case for the change this area deserves.
We're not career politicians. We're your neighbours. Meerav lives on the Peabody Estate and Conrad lives by Hammersmith station, and we're both deeply frustrated with how this area has been let down. We won't pretend to have all the answers. No candidate does, and anyone who tells you otherwise isn't being straight with you. What we do have is a determination to do right by this area, an honest ear for anyone who wants to be heard, and an unshakeable belief that Hammersmith Broadway deserves better.
Kemi Badenoch once mocked the Liberal Democrats for fixing church roofs. We'll take that. Because that's exactly what we intend to do here, roll up our sleeves, get stuck into the details, and get to work. Not the glamorous stuff. The necessary stuff. Cleaner streets, safer neighbourhoods, a community that actually feels looked after. That's what we're here for.
If you want something done, sometimes you have to do it yourself. Hammersmith deserves representatives who actually show up. We will.
Meerav Shah
Meerav is a proud Peabody Estate resident with a track record of getting things done. He has challenged unfair housing conditions, tackled antisocial behaviour head-on, and fought to hold local bodies accountable. As an active member of the Peabody Tenant Association, a regular at local police meetings, and a school governor at three Hammersmith primary schools, Meerav is already deeply embedded in the fabric of this community. He knows what residents are facing because he's facing it too.
Conrad Wood
Conrad brings over 30 years of senior leadership experience in technology across the UK and EU, helping businesses modernise and grow responsibly. But Hammersmith isn't just a place Conrad works, it's home. Born and raised here, he has long been a vocal community advocate: regularly petitioning the local MP on street safety, speaking out against human rights violations in the Middle East, and supporting the West London EU movement. Conrad knows how to get complex things done, and he's ready to put those skills to work for this ward.
We're standing because we believe Hammersmith Broadway deserves better and we know that with your support, we can deliver it. Over the coming weeks we'll be sharing our priorities, knocking on doors, and listening to what matters most to you.
