New off-licence application — 114 Uxbridge Road (corner of Caxton Road)
The old Tan On beauty salon site has an application in for an off-licence (ref: 2026/01352/LAPR). Given the ongoing street drinking and ASB on the Green, another alcohol outlet right opposite it is the last thing we need.
You can object directly to the council, it only takes a couple of minutes. Deadline to submit is 10 September.

Dear Licensing Team,
I am writing as a resident of Shepherds Bush Green to object to the above application for a new off-licence at 114 Uxbridge Road.
I would ask the committee to consider the following, under the licensing objectives of prevention of crime and disorder and prevention of public nuisance:
- Shepherd's Bush Green already experiences significant, ongoing street drinking and associated anti-social behaviour, which police and the council's Local Enforcement Team deal with regularly.
- There is already a high density of licensed premises selling alcohol in the immediate area of the Green.
- Granting a further off-licence at this location, directly opposite the Green, risks compounding an existing problem rather than being a neutral addition to the area.
I would ask the committee to refuse this application, or at minimum to attach strict conditions (such as restricted hours, a Challenge 25 scheme, and no sales of single cans/miniatures) if it is granted.
