We all agree*, don't we, that too much political time and energy is spent on personalities and political theatre, rather than on actual, in-depth discussion about policy and issues? And yet, some days it may feel like there are as many "takes" on each policy as there are Lib Dems, so let's have it out (respectfully!).
That's why the Hammersmith & Fulham Lib Dems are starting a new series of debates on key issues that we all care about.
(* if you disagree, then that's a great issue for another debate!)
Our first local debate is scheduled for Monday 22nd February (online, of course) on the motion:
"This House would welcome more Low-Traffic Neighbourhoods in Hammersmith and Fulham"
A low-traffic neighbourhood is an area that is closed off to through-traffic – so you can drive to it but can’t drive through it.
Speaking In Proposition:
Henrietta Bewley, Former Lib Dem Candidate for Ealing
Speaking In Opposition:
Stuart Hoddinott, Treasurer, H&F Lib Dems
Members and supporters will be welcome to attend and speak in the debate. Please RSVP below and join us!
