Votes at 16

At 16 British citizens pay tax and can join the army and have children. So they should be allowed a say in how those taxes are spent and when to deploy that army; in whether they receive child benefit and parental leave. 16 year olds understand enough about the world they live in to be able to decide on how that world is run.

You don't have to vote, but you should be allowed to. Denying suffrage is wrong.

Do you agree that British citizens should be allowed to vote aged 16?
