Hospitals in Hammersmith rated as "require improvement"

Charing Cross, Hammersmith and St. Mary's hospitals have all been rated by inspectors as requiring improvement. "It's depressing...there's a limit to how long you can go on for", says Nigel Orchard, Hammersmith and Fulham Liberal Democrat Chairman.

These three Imperial Trust hospitals have been told they "require improvement" after Care Quality Commission inspectors found A&E departments were dirty and had broken equipment.

Watch this BBC item about the situation which includes an interview with Nigel Orchard.
